Our story
We are a dedicated team committed to crafting exceptional experiences. Our focus lies in providing reliable and innovative solutions, driven by a deep respect for quality the environment and a genuine desire to exceed expectations.
Our history
Yakka was founded in 2012 by Director Bruce Levien. Bruce brought 18 years’ construction experience with tier-one firms in New Zealand and overseas. His family arrived in New Zealand in 1845; they later settled in the King Country where their land-clearing, sawmilling and hard work inspire Yakka’s ethos.
A turning point came after the Christchurch earthquakes, when a shortage of demolition contractors in Auckland created an opportunity for Yakka to grow and establish a trusted reputation. Since then we have expanded steadily through dedication, continuous improvement, collaboration and integrity. We’re passionate about our work and proud of the resilient, adaptable company we’ve become.
